Augustine Santantonio

Augustine (Gus) Santantonio, 80, formerly from Chestnut Hill, PA passed away on September 12, 2026, from an ongoing illness.

He was born on December 28, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Victor and Giuditta (nee Colussi) Santantonio. His sister, Ada, preceded him in death in 1949. His brother Victor preceded him in death in April 2026.

Gus is survived by his many Colussi and Giacomelli cousins, and his friends in the local Chestnut Hill community.

Gus spent his career in the automotive industry, starting at Volkswagen in Chestnut Hill, then West German BMW in Spring House, as well as Mercedes and Volvo in Fort Washington, all located in PA.

Gus will always be remembered for his love of family, relatives, and friends, and his biggest friend, his brother Victor. He enjoyed his many pets while growing up, especially his pet turtle.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Our Mother of Consolation, 9 E. Chestnut Hill Ave., Chestnut Hill, PA. The Viewing will begin at 9:30 am, followed by Words of Remembrance, and the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA.
