Christopher Wetherill Parker

Christopher Wetherill Parker, born 1931, died July 18, 2024, son of the late William Henry and Anne Wetherill Parker, is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janie née Brashares, his two children Christopher Jr. (Michael Zidziunas) and Pamela Parker Nauen (Michael Nauen) as well as his three granddaughters; Melissa Spencer, Anna Spencer and Samantha W. Nauen. He is also survived by his brother William H. Parker III of Norfolk, Va, 3 nieces, 5 nephews and six godchildren, one deceased. Chris graduated from William Penn Charter School, class of 1950, and Yale University, Class of 1954. He was a birthright Free Quaker and a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. He was a mechanical engineer who specialized in process control. Chris was an unwavering support to his family whom he loved deeply and unreservedly. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity of spirit, his infectious humor, his quiet wisdom and his enormous integrity. A graveside service will be held in the fall.
