F. John White, II, of Philadelphia passed away at home surrounded by his family on June 13th at age 78. John, as he was known to all, is survived by his brother James M. White (Martha); three children Richard W. Smith (Linsley), Kelly Fuller (Nathan), and Maggy Moira White (Corey Miller); his six grandchildren, Brynn and Hayden Smith, and Hannah, Otis, Jacob, and Robin Miller; and his four dogs, Grady, Duffy, Luce, and Michelle. He was preceded in death by his late wife Beth Ann and his former wife Gee Gee. A memorial Friends Meeting will be held at The William Penn Charter School on Thursday June 26th at 3 PM to be followed by a celebration of his life at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Chestnut Hill from 5 PM to 8 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Evelyn J. White scholarship fund at The William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia. This scholarship was established in honor and memory of his mother and is awarded to the child of a City of Philadelphia employee.
