Jane Catherine Trombly

Jane Catherine Trombly, 61, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 9, 2026.

Born March 26, 1965, in Hampton, Virginia, Jane was the daughter of Carol Pandini Trombly and the late Richard L. Trombly. She graduated from Laconia High School in 1983 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Boston College and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Jane lived her life with remarkable energy, determination and an unmistakable sense of adventure. A gifted athlete, she walked onto Boston College’s Division I ski team and continued racing competitively until age 40. She ran 16 marathons and spent a decade coaching a grade-school cross-country team, encouraging young runners to discover their own strength and confidence.

Professionally, Jane built an accomplished career in legal technology spanning nearly four decades. She spent 14 years with Elite Technology, formerly Thomson Reuters Elite, as a Senior Sales Executive. She later joined Intapp, where she served as Managing Director, followed by Aderant, where she served as Senior Director of Global Sales, Knowledge Management. In the next chapter of her career, Jane joined Legal Decoder, Inc. as an equity member and Vice President of Revenue. Throughout her career, Jane was known for her intelligence, drive, deep knowledge of the legal technology industry, and the relationships she built along the way.

The Philadelphia Cricket Club became an important part of Jane’s life after she joined in 2000 at age 35. She served on its Board of Governors for six years and held a variety of leadership positions through various committees. Jane treasured the community and friendships she found there.

Jane was involved in her community in so many ways, serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Commonwealth YouthChoirs as well as Chair of the Development Committee for six years. She founded her own non-profit organization, Fondant Foundation, which combined her love and artistry for cake decorating to support music programs for children.

Friendship was one of the great constants of Jane’s life. She treasured friendships formed in childhood, college and throughout every chapter that followed. Many endured across decades and distances and were among the relationships she valued most.

Jane’s Catholic faith was a source of strength throughout her life and deepened over the years. She was a devoted member of Our Mother of Consolation Parish, where she served as a Eucharistic minister. Her faith helped guide the way she lived her life and faced its challenges.

Above all, Jane loved her family. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Joseph DelliCarpini, and her beloved daughters, Taylor Trombly and Summer Grace DelliCarpini; her mother, Carol Pandini Trombly; her siblings, Anthony Trombly and his wife, Alice Kavanagh, and Linda Trombly Rhoads and her husband, Jed Rhoads; her DelliCarpini brothers- and sisters-in-law, John (Ken), Michael (Jane), Dominic (Rabyia), and Lisa; and six nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Richard L. Trombly.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, September 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jacob F. Ruth Funeral Directors, 8413 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 14, at 12:45 p.m. at Our Mother of Consolation Parish, 9 E. Chestnut Hill Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A Celebration of Life and reception will be held at 2:30pm, The Philadelphia Cricket Club, 415 West Willow Grove Avenue.

Jane once wrote that she hoped to be remembered not simply for what she accomplished, but for how she made people feel: “valued, loved, and inspired to embrace their own lives.”

She did exactly that.
