Joseph Sadowy, Sr. of McKinney, Texas passed away February 10, 2022 at the age 91. He was born on November 7, 1930 to John and Mary Sadowy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Joseph attended the University of Pennsylvania. He married in 1953 in Philadelphia to the late Carole Sadowy. Joseph was a fan of football especially the Philadelphia Eagles. He was also a fan of Nascar with Car #24 being one of his favorites. Joseph loved fishing and trips to Atlantic City, Las Vegas and he most loved taking his wife out to romantic dinners. Joseph was a devoted member of Genesis Church of McKinney. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Joseph will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his son, Joe Sadowy and wife, Sherri Bobo of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Stephanie Koroneos and husband, Tom of Farmersville, Texas and Benjamin Adrian of McKinney, Texas; great-grandchildren, Seth Detten of McKinney, Texas, Mikaela Detten of Littleton, Colorado; and Samantha Koroneos of Farmersville, Texas; great-great-grandchild, Ekko Brooks; and a host of other loving family and friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Carole Sadowy; parents; and siblings, Nick Sadowy, Steve Sadowy, Stella Sadowy, Rosemary Sadowy, Anne Sadowy, Katherine Sadowy, and Mary Sadowy. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Genesis Church, 5780 Virginia Parkway, McKinney, Texas 75071. Joseph will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at a later date.
