Josephine H. Boden 1926-2026 

Josephine Harman Boden (Joe) passed peacefully on June 6, 2026. In April she celebrated her 100th birthday with her family & friends. Josephine was a resident at Cathedral Village, Philadelphia, where she has lived since 2019. While a resident there, she was genuinely loved and cared for & was a special addition to their community. Prior to that, she lived in Mount Airy with her husband Warren for more than 50 years. Joe was born and raised in Philadelphia and spent early summers with family in their home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. She worked as the night shift telephone operator at Chestnut Hill Hospital for over 3 decades. Joe was an avid Phillies & Eagles fan. She also was a lover of kittens & cats and cared for many of them over the years! She was kind and funny and never missed an opportunity to have fun or join the party! 

She is survived by nephew Robert McCowie, South Carolina; niece Cricket McCowie, Connecticut, stepson Craig Boden, Alabama and many great nieces, nephews & extended family & friends. 

There will be a graveside service on Friday, June 12th at 11AM at Ivy Hill Cemetery, 1201 Easton Rd, Philadelphia.
