Judith Fonash 1942-2026

Some people leave a quiet but lasting imprint on everyone they meet. Judith Fonash was one of those rare people whose kindness, warmth, and selfless love shaped the lives of her family and friends.

Judie was a loving wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother known for her thoughtful and kind nature. To many, she was someone they could turn to for comfort, trusted advice, or simply a warm conversation.

For 25 years, Judie’s smiling face welcomed customers into the Gap in Chestnut Hill, where she greeted everyone with grace and style, making people feel instantly at ease.

She cherished her grandchildren and was incredibly proud of her four grandsons, whom she admired and loved dearly. She delighted in cheering them on at school, during sporting events, and taking them on little adventures.

Her life was a tribute to love, family, and kindness. This is a lasting gift to those who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her warmth and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Theodore J. Fonash; her children, Alicia Fonash-Willett, husband Francis Willett; T.J. Fonash and wife, Stacey Fonash; and Bryan Fonash. As well as her four beloved grandsons, Logan Willett, Connor Fonash, Casey Fonash, and Aidan Willett, along with friends and neighbors, whose lives were touched by her kindness.

A funeral mass will be held at Our Mother of Consolation on March 13, 2026, at 11:30 am. Interment will be private.
