Mary Frances McNally Walsh peacefully passed away from Parkinson's Disease on June 1, 2026. She was born in Philadelphia on December 14, 1944.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Barry Walsh, and her beloved parents, Evelyn and Bernard McNally. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Johnson, her sisters, Claire Dickson and Denise Dougher (Joseph), her brother, Bernard Anthony McNally, her nieces, Deborah Biamon (Miguel), Margot Biamon, Lauren Dougher Urban (Luke), Audrey and Hadley Urban, and Michaela Dougher; her nephews, David J. Mary is also survived by her stepchildren, Alison Walsh, Kevin Walsh (Amber), Colleen Pellegrini (Vince), and Kathleen Walsh. They embraced Mary as a member of their family, and provided love, advice and support during the struggles Mary faced with Parkinson's Disease.
Mary was a 1962 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School in Wyncote. Upon graduation, she began her career with the Federal Government, only taking a leave of absence for the birth of her daughter. During her leave of absence and because she loved working with people, Mary tapped into her talent for sales. She represented several companies selling their products through home sales with great success.
She retired from the Federal Government in 2015.
Mary enjoyed living life to the fullest. She was kind, outgoing, had a great sense of humor, loved to dance and to travel. She cherished her family and friends and maintained a lifelong friendship with a group of girls she met when she began working at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the 60's. They refer to themselves as "The Lab Girls." They have supported each other throughout the years and were a great source of comfort to Mary.
If you wish to make a contribution in Mary's name, please send it to The Parkinson's Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
