Rina B. Fesnak (nee Brun)

Passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, at The Philadelphia Protestant Home at the age of 100. Rina was the daughter of the late Angelo and Regina Brun. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, John, in 2000. She is survived by daughter Joanne (Thomas), grandchildren Janina (Dustin), Leanne (Aaron), and Andrew (Kelly), and ten great-grandchildren.

Rina Brun Fesnak was born in Curwensville, PA in 1924. Her family moved to Chestnut Hill around 1927. She attended John Story Jenks Elementary School and Germantown High School. After graduating from Germantown High School, she worked for a lawyer in center city Philadelphia until she started a family. She and John built a house next door to Rina’s parents. Rina lived in Chestnut Hill area for over 90 years, moving to The Philadelphia Protestant Home in December 2019.

She volunteered for many years at the election polls. She was active in The Chestnut Hill Center for Enrichment, a center of activities and classes that has served older adults in Chestnut Hill. She liked to sew, quilt and knit.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 7th at Our Mother of Consolation Church, 9 E. Chestnut Hill Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19118. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM in Church. Interment will be at Holy Sepulcher.
