Robert Y. Turner

TURNER Robert Y. Turner, age 93, on January 16, 2021 of The Quadrangle Haverford. Emeritus Professor of English at Uni. of PA for 40 years, specializing in Renaissance drama with primary emphasis on Shakespeare. He received his undergraduate training at Princeton University and his graduate training at the University of Chicago. He was awarded a Guggenheim fellowship and a Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching. He wrote extensively on Shakespeare and other renaissance dramatists. Survived by a cousin, Lillian J. Howland of Gastonia, NC. Funeral and interment private.
