Theresa Nocero

Theresa Trubilla Nocero, 94 formerly of Chestnut Hill died peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Doylestown Hospital. She was married to Peter Nocero, Sr for 54 years before his passing in 2007. She shared a residence with her daughter Sandra and Jeff Muller of Abington, PA for almost 15 years until moving into her final residence at Neshaminy Manor in Warrington, PA 3 years ago.

Born March 11, 1931 in New Ringgold, PA, Terry was the daughter of the late John and Justine (Matz) Trubilla. As the youngest daughter of 12 siblings, Terry grew up on an agricultural farm during the most difficult years of economic depression and impending war in Europe. Raising crops and farm animals in rural PA, Terry learned hard work at an early age. As the depression loomed and losses mounted her father and older brothers were forced to turn to the coal mining industry leaving Terry and her sisters to run the farm. WW II forever changed the trajectory of her and her siblings lives, especially after an accident claimed the life of her father. Terry graduated from Tamaqua High School with honors and was accepted into Temple University's School of Nursing. After graduation she began a 50-year career as an R.N. at Chestnut Hill Hospital which led to supervisory positions in surrounding nursing facilities in the Hill. Terry will be remembered for her compassion, kindness, patience and desire to help others in and out of the medical community. Throughout her career Terry raised three children who all attended Our Mother of Consolation School.

Surviving are Terry's three children Peter (Suzi Reilly), John, and Sandra (Jeff Muller). Grandchildren include Peter III (Corina Gerner), Tara (Matt Barry), Nicholas (Kelsey Morgan), John Nocero Jr, Kelly (Heather). Great-Grandchildren are Evangeline, Dean, Levi, Benjamin and Gabriella and Moxie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Mother of Consolation Church in Chestnut Hill, PA on March 20, 2026 at 10:00am. Interment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery will be private.
