Victor Santantonio

Victor Santantonio, 86, formerly of Chestnut Hill, PA, passed away suddenly on April 15, 2026, after a brief illness in Chestnut Hill Hospital. He was surrounded by family and friends, both present and by phone line.

He was born on October 23, 1939, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Victor and Giuditta (nee Colussi) Santantonio. His sister, Ada, preceded him in death in 1949, in her first year of life. He deeply felt the loss of losing his little sister.

Victor is survived by his brother Augustine (Gus), his many Colussi and Giacomelli cousins, and his friends in the local Chestnut Hill community.

He spent his career in the automotive field, starting at West German Volkswagen in Chestnut Hill, then following West German to Spring House when they expanded to BMW.

Victor will always be remembered for his love of family and friends, the joy he derived from his many pets while growing up, gardening, assisting the Chestnut Hill Community Recycling Program, his personal interest in recycling disposed metals and aluminum, and donating many soda tabs to the Ronald McDonald House. He will especially be remembered when he donated a large amount of soda tabs to his younger cousin’s Elementary School, for which McDonalds gifted all 350 students with free hamburgers. Victor’s kindness and generosity spread wherever he went.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Our Mother of Consolation, 9 E. Chestnut Hill Ave., Chestnut Hill, PA. The Viewing will begin at 9:30 am, followed by Words of Remembrance, and the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA.
