William Christiansen

William (Bill) Christiansen passed away February 24, 2024 at 85 years old after a courageous and determined battle with cancer. 

He was born to Elmer and Marguerite (nee Russell) Christiansen of Chestnut Hill.

Bill is survived by his wife Genevieve (Ginny, Peanut, nee Tournier) and his children William (Bill) Jr. (Mary Ann), David and Michelle (Rob) Davey, five granddaughters Lauren, Shannon, Reagan, Kennedy and McKinley, as well as his siblings Doris McGonagle, Daniel (Joyce), Michael and Brian (Denise).  

He was predeceased by his sisters Suzanne and Linda as well as his parents. 

Bill grew up in Chestnut Hill and met Peanut at a ninth-grade dance. They were a couple ever since. In January they had their 64th wedding anniversary. 

Bill and Peanut lived in Wyndmoor for 60 years and recently Masonic Village and Artman.

Bill served in the Army National Guard and volunteered as a firefighter with the Wyndmoor Hose Company.

He spent much of his career in manufacturing and operations management at Fischer and Porter (ABB) in Warminster.             

Bill was very much loved by his family and friends and will be missed.
