William Robert Moosher, of Huntingdon Valley PA, passed away peacefully May 1, 2018, with his family at his side.
Born June 20, 1927 in Atlantic City, NJ, he lived a full life. He was son of late Christakis and Orania (Mary, nee Misso) Musha, brother to the late Michael Musha, Nicholas Moosher, Peter Moosher and Anne Hyduk. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn (Schlauer) and daughters Linda (husband Roger) Roth, Ambler, PA, Janet Moosher, Huntingdon Valley, PA and Diane (husband Timothy) Ryan, Brandon FL; and beloved granddaughters Laura and Julia Roth. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
“Bill” graduated in 1946 from Northeast High School, Philadelphia, and attended Tyler School of Art. He enlisted in the Marines and served as an artist and draftsman in the training aids library, drafting, enlargement and copying of diagrams and drawings for use as instructional material and created a considerable amount of sign and poster work. He was most proud of his service to his country, living by the motto: Once a Marine, always a Marine. After his discharge in 1954, he worked for Pepsi Cola’s advertising department and then in 1958 began his own outdoor advertising business, “Bill’s Sign’s”. Over the years his business grew in the Lower Bucks County, Eastern Montgomery County and Northeast Philadelphia area. During the 60's, Bill created many of the signs that were displayed within Willow Grove Amusement Park.
He was a member of the Feasterville Businessmen’s Association and The Marine Corps League.
