IN LOVING MEMORY OF NORMA M. GLENN Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother Norma Margaret Glenn, “Nornie” (nee Klaumenzer) of Chalfont, PA, formerly of North Wales, PA, formerly of Mt. Airy, PA died peacefully on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the age of 86. Norma will be lovingly remembered by her children Michael (Janis), David, Stephen (Lisa), Kevin (Mary Ellen), Patrick (Ardena), and Susan (Thomas) Swearingen; her sister, Claire Greene (William); 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Wife of late Donald Robert Glenn, she is predeceased by her parents Elmira (nee Vader) and Charles Klaumenzer, her daughter, Phyllis Anne Glenn, and son Donald David Glenn. Norma was born on May 22, 1934 and has one younger sister, Claire. She graduated from Little Flower High School, Phila, PA, in 1952. After graduation she worked for Bailey, Banks, and Biddle. She later worked as a receptionist at a furniture store. On April 24, 1954, she married Donald R. Glenn. They raised seven children in Mt. Airy, PA. A devout Catholic, she was an active member of Holy Cross Parish and often volunteered as a substitute art teacher at Holy Cross School. Using her talents in art and calligraphy, she painted banners and donated them to Holy Cross Church and School. All seven children graduated from Holy Cross School. After the children were grown, Norma worked for Continental Bank in Fort Washington, PA and later for PNC Bank. Norma’s last place of employment was the one she loved the most. She enjoyed working as a cashier at the Target in North Wales, PA and she made many friends there. Donald and Norma retired in North Wales, PA. Norma enjoyed arts and crafts, cake baking, crocheting, as well as sewing. She loved animals, especially cats. She was an incredible cook. She was the most patient, loving, caring, supportive, and understanding wife and mother. We are so blessed to have her as our mother. She shaped us into who we are today. Norma sacrificed so much for her children. Her selflessness and strength were attributes we all admired. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and cherished watching them grow. Norma had many friends and everyone who knew her looked forward to seeing her and to hear her say “How you be?” Norma touched the lives of so many with her selfless love and wisdom. Norma will be deeply missed and we are comforted knowing she is at peace now with the angels in Heaven. We will always celebrate her life and cherish the wonderful memories we had with her. She will forever live in our hearts.
